On August 30, 2021, the Technical Regulation for Personal Protective Equipment entered into force. It was approved by CMU Resolution \u2116771.<\/p>\n
It is expected that the approval of this technical regulation will bring the relevant provisions of national legislation closer to the norms of the European Union and establish requirements for the development, production of personal protective equipment to be provided on the market to ensure the health and safety of users.<\/p>\n
Accordingly, from August 30, all companies-manufacturers of personal protective equipment must comply with the requirements of the technical regulation to be able to introduce their products to the market. However, its text has not yet been officially published. And this significantly hinders the work of such companies.<\/p>\n
Conformity assessment of personal protective equipment and a declaration of conformity can be prepared only before the introduction of products into the market in Ukraine. Without the official text of the technical regulation, businesses cannot sell their products within the planned terms. Thus, it is impossible to compile the necessary technical documentation and conduct a proper conformity assessment procedure.<\/p>\n
In this regard, the European Business Association appealed to the Prime Minister of Ukraine to facilitate the prompt publication of the official text of the technical regulation, so as not to create artificial barriers to doing business in Ukraine.<\/p>\n
