The application of the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) in Ukraine was a key issue raised during the meeting.<\/p>\n

The first step towards the digitalization of document management is the provision of electronic digital signatures (EDS),\u201d said speaker Kateryna Oliynyk, partner of Intellectual Property and Data Protection Practice at Arzinge<\/strong><\/em>r. Even though in 2020 Ukrainians used EDS almost 4 billion times (according to the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine), there are still obstacles that prevent businesses from making full use of the System. These are some of the contradictions in the national legislation, a small number of electronic digital signature providers recognized in Ukraine, the lack of precedents for the use of electronic evidence in courts, etc.<\/p>\n

Particular attention was paid to the use of the EDMS by financial institutions. The Head of the Kharkiv department of UKRSIBBANK Nikolay Obod<\/strong><\/em> emphasized that now banks willingly invest in digitalization to make banking quick and easy.<\/p>\n
