This week has been extremely productive in the context of good news for business. Thus, positive decisions were taken in the areas of healthcare, consumer electronics, regulation, HR, taxes, and electronic payments.<\/span><\/p>\n A draft law amending the deregulation of labor relations was passed in the first reading<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Business welcomes the adoption of this important draft law in the first reading. This long-awaited document provides for simplification of labor relations administration, the introduction of a fixed-term employment contract for certain categories of employees, the settlement of a large range of aspects of labor relations, such as leave, liability, dismissal, etc., in the employment contract. Business welcomes this first step and looks forward to finalizing the draft law before the second reading.<\/span><\/p>\n The first working meetings on the development of the Law on Medical Devices took place this week<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n We are pleased to announce that the EBA experts are involved in the working group of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Presidential Decree \u2116369\/2021 states that a law must be drafted by 15 December this year in line with European directives on medical devices. The EBA supports this decision, as it can have a positive impact on the field of medical devices.<\/span><\/p>\n Draft Law \u21165600 is excluded from the agenda<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Yesterday, the Verkhovna Rada excluded draft law \u21165600 on amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine from the agenda. The business community unequivocally welcomes this decision. The European Business Association thanks the MPs for listening to the voice of business. At the same time, the EBA community hopes that shortly the text of the document will be made public so that businesses have the opportunity to analyze it. Moreover, the business will be involved in the discussion and together we will be able to revise the draft law thoroughly. After all, the draft law is too complex and comprehensive to be adopted in a hurry.<\/span><\/p>\n Business welcomes the adoption of a draft law to ensure the possibility of purchasing medicines under managed entry agreements\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n This week, the VRU adopted draft law \u21164662 in the second reading. It was a long-awaited decision for the pharmaceutical industry and patients in Ukraine. The adopted draft law completes the formation of a full-fledged legal framework and implementation in Ukraine of one of the key modern instruments for ensuring patients’ access to original innovative medicines \u2013 managed access agreements.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The Verkhovna Rada did not support the adoption of populist draft laws that abolish the mandatory use of cash registers<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n On September 23, the VRU did not support draft laws \u21162645, \u21162645-d, \u21162645-1 during the extraordinary sitting. Also, it was decided not to include draft laws \u21163853, \u21163853-1, \u21163853-2 in the agenda. We are convinced that such a decision will have a positive effect not only on law-abiding companies but also on the state budget, as well as for improving the situation with consumer protection.
