In Ukraine, the procedure for issuing permits for the import of crop protection products for research and state testing has been resumed.<\/p>\n
This year, during February-March, the new Procedure for authorizing research institutions to conduct state testing of pesticides and agrochemicals was introduced. This resulted in the blocking of the procedure for issuing permits for the import of CPPs samples for research purposes.<\/p>\n
Such a situation threatened to disrupt testing plans for innovative CPPs and, consequently, delay their delivery to farmers.<\/p>\n
This, in turn, could lead to a qualitative and quantitative decline in yields, as well as increased pests and disease resistance.<\/p>\n
Since the beginning of this week, the Ministry of Environment has resumed the issuance of permits for those research institutions that have passed the authorization.<\/p>\n
The European Business Association welcomes the unblocking of this authorization procedure and hopes that the number of authorized research institutions will increase in the near future.<\/p>\n
