The European Business Association addressed a corresponding letter to the People&#8217;s Deputies of Ukraine and the Head of the State Property Fund.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The purpose of this legislative initiative is to improve and accelerate the procedure of privatization and lease of communal and state property with the involvement of investments and to improve the relevant legislation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The EBA generally supports the intentions aimed at reforming and improving the system of relations related to the privatization and lease of state property, which is reflected in this draft law. However, after analyzing the document, the experts of member companies draw attention to the need to revise some provisions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The EBA experts\u2019 proposals mainly concern the following aspects:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Improving the procedure for prolonging state property lease agreements;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Improving the procedure for construction work on leased facilities (namely, in the context of integral improvements) to invest in the development of public infrastructure;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Strengthening guarantees for the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of investors who have invested their own investments in the development of state infrastructure;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Improving the procedure for the privatization of domestic seaports infrastructure facilities;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Improving the procedure for the privatization of leased property (including the procedure that provides for the current tenant to use his\/her preemptive right in the process of such privatization).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t<div class=\"blockquote-custom-big animate-block animate-block--before animate-block--to-right\">\n\n\t\t<div class=\"quote-header\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img src=\"https:\/\/eba.com.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Daria-Sichkar.png\">\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"name\">Daria-Sichkar<\/span>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"position\">EBA Logistics Committee Manager<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<blockquote class=\"blockquote-custom\">\n\t\t\t\tPrivatization of state and communal property can be a good impetus for the development of various industries and the revival of enterprises, including those in the infrastructure sector. But for this it is important to correctly prescribe all the procedures and nuances of these processes, taking into account the point of view of practitioners - business representatives.
