From March 2020 world aviation industry has survived the unprecedented changes and uncertainty. Thousands of flights were canceled, millions of people were forced to change their travel plans, and hopes for a speedy return to normal did not realize.<\/p>\n
Statistics from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) show that the “recovery” of the airline industry is slower than expected in the spring, when we first encountered COVID-19 and introduced the first quarantine measures.<\/p>\n

The aviation industry has suffered huge losses, which it is supposed to overcome not earlier than in 2023 and return to 2020 levels.<\/p>\n

But, despite the current situation and current restrictions on flights between countries, Air France-KLM plan to maintain and increase the number of flights to Ukraine during the winter schedule 2020\/2021. So Air France will fly Paris-Kyiv-Paris 3 times per week on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. And KLM Royal Dutch Airlines plan to increase the frequency to 12 flights per week, which will exceed the number of operated flights almost doubled comparing to before quarantine period. During the winter schedule, KLM will return the Amsterdam-Kyiv flight with overnight stop at Boryspil airport, which will offer more connections at Schiphol airport: currently the Air France-KLM network has 250 destinations<\/p>\n
Air France-KLM have received a financial loan from the governments of France and the Netherlands, which allows airlines to survive difficult times and look to the future.<\/p>\n
The airlines do their best to make passengers and crew feel confident and safe while traveling. Following WHO recommendations, Air France-KLM introduced new sanitary procedures at the airport, business lounges, check-in and gates areas, and on board in connection with the spread of COVID-19. These measures include social distancing, wearing medical masks, additional cleaning, optimizing onboard catering, equipping aircraft with an air filtration system consisting of highly efficient air particles (HEPA), which detects 99.99% of viruses and bacteria, including coronavirus, health checks, respectively to the requirements of local authorities before departure or on arrival. Flexible commercial policies for tickets\u2019 refunds and the use of vouchers make it possible to change travel plans without losses.<\/p>\n
