This week, the cooperation between the business community and the Government was particularly productive in two areas – woodworking and IT. Thus, the Government approved the list of objects not subject to privatization, which included forest enterprises, and settled issues regarding the entry of foreign citizens into the territory of Ukraine. So, briefly about the main thing:<\/span><\/p>\n So, check some key news in brief:<\/span><\/p>\n Forestries are included in the list of objects not subject to privatization<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n The draft law with the list of state-owned companies banned from privatization was approved by the Government at a meeting on August 26. Thus, this list comprises 474 cultural, sports, and forestry facilities that cannot be privatized. The document will soon be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.<\/span><\/p>\n It will be recalled that experts from the EBA Woodworking & Furniture Committee have consistently advocated for preventing privatization in the forest sector. Since forestry production is long-term, and the felling turnover amounts on average 80-100 years, only state-owned enterprises can ensure the consistency of forest management activities and adhere to the principles of sustainable forest management.<\/span><\/p>\n The government has allowed certain categories of foreigners to enter Ukraine<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n On August 27, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted Resolution \u2116 757, which prohibits the entry of foreign citizens into the territory of Ukraine until September 28. At the same time, the Resolution contains a list of categories of citizens who will be able to arrive on the territory of Ukraine provided they have a confirmed purpose of the visit.<\/span><\/p>\n
