It implies that during the quarantine, public discussions of the planned activities following the submission of the environmental impact assessment report take place exclusively in the form of written comments and suggestions, including via electronic means.<\/p>\n<p>During the last meeting of the Parliament, the issue of public discussions has raised the most concern. After all, the current Law of Ukraine No.2059 on Environmental Impact Assessment states that public discussions (held in the form of offline meetings) together with written proposals in printed and electronic form are formats for a public discussion procedure, which is mandatory for obtaining a conclusion on environmental impact assessment.<\/p>\n<p>However, given the situation with the coronavirus and the ban on mass gatherings, the draft law \u21163438 was designed to comply with individual protection rules and to ensure further public discussion held online by submitting written proposals.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, business calls on the Parliament to consider and adopt tomorrow the draft law \u21163438 to unblock the activities of companies. We very much hope for an understanding of the situation and an effective reaction of parliamentarians tomorrow.<\/p>\n\t<div class=\"blockquote-custom-big animate-block animate-block--before animate-block--to-right\">\n\n\t\t<div class=\"quote-header\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img src=\"https:\/\/eba.com.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Olga_Boiko.png\">\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"name\">Olga Boiko<\/span>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"position\">Industrial Ecology, and Sustainable Development Committee Coordinator<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<blockquote class=\"blockquote-custom\">\n\t\t\t\tFor two months, the European Business Association has been in close cooperation with the Ministry of Energy and the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Environmental Policy and Nature Management to resolve this issue. It is fundamentally important for all of us to resume business activities, to create opportunities for the continuation of investment projects by ensuring the right to express its view. Conclusions on environmental impact assessment have not been issued for more than 2 months. Therefore, it is extremely important to unfreeze this process in the near future. After all, the unpublished conclusions delay the implementation of business projects, which potentially leads to job cuts, reduced budget revenues, and so on, which is not advisable given the current crisis time for the country.\n\t\t\t<\/blockquote>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t<\/div>\n\n<p>Therefore, business calls on the Parliament to consider and adopt tomorrow the draft law \u21163438 to unblock the activities of companies.
