Thus, most of the surveyed companies are ready to resume their offline work or return to the office in the near future –\u00a0<\/span>35%<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0in May and\u00a0<\/span>34%<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0in June. In addition,\u00a0<\/span>16%<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0of respondents said that they had already resumed work or did not suspend it at all for the lockdown period due to the specifics of the company. Another\u00a0<\/span>15%<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0do not plan to return to the office or have not yet decided on a final date.<\/span><\/p>\n Regarding the work in the office,\u00a0<\/span>42%\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>plan to implement a flexible or shift work schedule, another\u00a0<\/span>13%<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0will recommend their employees to continue working from home.\u00a0<\/span>20%<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0of companies are preparing for a gradual resumption of work, starting with 25% of employees in the office with a possible increase to 50%. Another\u00a0<\/span>17%<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0of companies are ready to have 50% of employees working in the office from the first weeks with a possible increase to 75%.<\/span><\/p>\n Based on the experience of the last few months,\u00a0<\/span>62%<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0of directors reported that they are considering a full or partial switch to remote work mode on a permanent basis. Most are willing to allow up to 50% of the staff to work remotely.<\/span><\/p>\n Most companies, namely\u00a0<\/span>62%,<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0managed to keep the salaries of employees at the same level. Wage cuts affected\u00a0<\/span>23%<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0of companies, while\u00a0<\/span>7%\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>increased wages for some categories of employees. In another\u00a0<\/span>3%<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0of cases, some categories of employees went on unpaid leave.<\/span><\/p>\n Also,\u00a0<\/span>82%<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0of businesses managed to keep the company’s staff unchanged, and\u00a0<\/span>8%<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0are even looking for new employees now. Accordingly,\u00a0<\/span>11%<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0of companies were forced to reduce their staff.<\/span><\/p>\n Most businesses report losses when asked about the financial results of the two-month lockdown. Thus,\u00a0<\/span>36%<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0of respondents incurred up to 20% of income losses, another\u00a0<\/span>28%<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0– at the level of 20-50%, and\u00a0<\/span>18%<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0– 50-75% of income losses. Only\u00a0<\/span>11%<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0reported no change, and\u00a0<\/span>3%<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0were able to increase their income to 20%.<\/span><\/p>\n Entrepreneurs consider that currently, they need the following top support measures for their businesses:<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022 Reducing the tax burden on the wage fund;<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022 Introducing assistance payment for employees at the expense of the Social Insurance Fund from the 1st day of the employee’s sickness;<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022 Abolishing fines for violating tax legislation by the end of the year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n It will take six months for\u00a0<\/span>20%<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0of companies, and about one year for\u00a0<\/span>39%<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0to reach the pre-lockdown level of development. Another\u00a0<\/span>17%<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0will need two years, and\u00a0<\/span>7%<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0– more than two years. Another\u00a0<\/span>10%<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0cannot predict the time required for recovery, and\u00a0<\/span>4%<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0have not lost the pace of development during the lockdown.<\/span><\/p>\n\t \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The study was conducted from 12 to 21 May 2020.
