After all, there is a situation when budget-generating companies are forced to \"freeze\" their projects, because due to lockdown for the second month already, they do not have the opportunity to hold public discussions necessary to obtain conclusions on EIA. Conclusions issued untimely cause possible delays, or even cancel the implementation of the company\u2032s projects. It may also result in job cuts and reduced revenues to state and local budgets<\/span>. \n\t\t\t<\/blockquote>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t<\/div>\n\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Therefore, the business welcomes the efforts of the Ministry of Energy and Environmental Protection of Ukraine and the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Environmental Policy and Nature Management to address the situation. At the same time, we ask to consider the proposals sent by the Association in a separate letter concerning the reconciliation of discrepancies in the application of the provisions of the laws and other regulations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The European Business Association hopes that at the next sitting the Verkhovna Rada will vote for the Draft Law in order to promptly resolve this issue and resume issuing conclusions on EIA.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last week, the Verkhovna Rada registered Draft Law No.3438 on amendments to the Law of Ukraine on environmental impact assessment to prevent the occurrence and spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
