On October 3, 2019 ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih handed over the first of two school buses to Novolativska community. The second one will arrive in Novolativka in a month. And by the end of the year, the community will have a new ambulance car, as provided for in the social cooperation agreement signed in 2019 by the company and\u00a0Novolativka\u2019s authorities.<\/p>\n
Aleksandr Zubriy, Head of Novolativka Village Council<\/strong>:<\/p>\n – Today in Novolativka is a real holiday. Our children have received a new school bus as a gift, which is extremely important here. Until then, our children had to take two buses to get to school, which are already 16 years old. They were mostly under repair rather than working as intended. The new school bus is much more comfortable,\u00a0there is a footrest for the youngest schoolchildren and there are seat belts. We sincerely appreciate ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih for their help and cooperation, which is of great benefit to Novolativska community.<\/p>\n Novolativska community includes eleven communities and two schools. The distance between some villages is quite large. Only the Novolativska school alone needs about 160 children to be transported from six remote villages and two settlements of the Central City District of Kryvyi Rih. Therefore, it was initially decided to purchase two school buses.<\/p>\n The first new bus has already arrived. It will enable the pupils to reach Novolativska school with comfort and in time. The bus is designed for 31 passenger seats. ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih bought it for UAH 1.6 million<\/strong>. The second one has already been ordered, its delivery is in progress.<\/p>\n Vladimir Teslyuk, COO Mining, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih:<\/strong><\/p>\n – Today’s transfer of the new school bus is the first stage after signing this year’s agreement on social cooperation between our company and the Novolativska community. Now children will not have to walk several kilometers to school by foot. We will be ready to deliver another new school bus in a month. Besides, by the end of this year ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih will provide Novolativska community with a new ambulance car – a modern reanimobile.<\/p>\n ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih annually invests in development of education, culture and health care. The company implements social projects not only in Kryvyi Rih, but also in other settlements of the region. This cooperation helps to create favorable living conditions for local residents. This is not the first year that the company has been cooperating with the entire Shyrokivsky district, which consists of 68 settlements with a population of over 27 000 people.
