The ban was implemented by a letter from the Chief State Veterinary Inspector of Ukraine No. 602-113-18 \/ 2481 dated February 15, 2019<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the incidence of spongiform encephalopathy in cattle registered in the Republic of Poland, since February 15, the export of products for livestock, including fodder, was prohibited. However, the case of this disease was single and atypical.<\/p>\n<p>Under the Terrestrial Animal Health Code (endorsed in May 2018), atypical cases of encephalopathy are not taken into account when determining the official status of a country&#8217;s risk. Therefore, the case did not affect Poland\u2019s official status.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, on the website of the World Organization for the Protection of Animals, the Republic of Poland was identified as a country with low risk for this disease. The same information was confirmed in a report from the Chief Veterinary Officer of the Republic of Poland.<\/p>\n<p>However, this ban has been in force in Ukraine. It was established by the Chief State Veterinary Inspector of Ukraine.<\/p>\n\t<div class=\"blockquote-custom-big animate-block animate-block--before animate-block--to-right\">\n\n\t\t<div class=\"quote-header\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img src=\"https:\/\/eba.com.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Oksana_Zharkova.jpg\">\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"name\">Oksana Zharkova<\/span>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"position\">the Committees Coordinator of the European Business Association<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<blockquote class=\"blockquote-custom\">\n\t\t\t\tSome Association member companies were importing feeds for unproductive animals, which were in fact banned, even though the companies had an International Veterinary Certificate issued by an authorized physician. And this certificate guarantees the quality and safety of products. However, business was denied the opportunity to import.\n\t\t\t<\/blockquote>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t<\/div>\n\n<p>As of today, the decision of the Chief State Veterinary Inspector of Ukraine on the ban has been lifted.
