\"\"<\/a>With the rapid technologies development and increasing speed of life, humanity has much more influence on the environment. So, Ukrainian and international legislation is changing accordingly.<\/p>\n

Many companies already have an obligation to assess their environmental impact, even at the level of considering project investments. Existing companies are also forced to consider environmental and social factors, especially if they export products or services into the European Union.<\/p>\n

Ukraine\u2019s regulatory framework is becoming more strict and demanding for business. Therefore, it is important to consider it when making the development decisions.<\/p>\n

To help companies understand the European and Ukrainian regulatory frameworks, which concern an environmental context of doing business, Baker Tilly began publishing brochures on sustainable development.<\/p>\n

In the previous issue “ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL RISKS MANAGEMENT.\u00a0 European Integration Factors”<\/a><\/strong>, Baker Tilly outlined the issues of harmonization of Ukrainian and EU\u2019s environmental legislation, as well as the issues of polluting substances emissions of Ukrainian enterprises.<\/p>\n

In this issue, “ENVIRONMENTAL ASPECTS of enterprises operations”<\/a><\/strong>, we put accent on waste management and other environmental aspects of the companies\u2019 economic activity.<\/p>\n

In terms of industrial waste and wastewater management regulation, Ukrainian enterprises expect revolutionary changes. For this we have 10 to 15 years. For someone such a long transition period is an opportunity to do nothing. For others it will become the time of new opportunities.<\/p>\n
