Requirements:

We are looking for a Business Development and Marketing Assistant with substantial experience in working within a busy corporate environment, preferably in a marketing role, to join our large international firm. You should possess excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to adapt your communication style whether you are supporting clients, colleagues, or senior management.

We seek someone who is flexible and adaptable, with a strong aptitude for using initiative while also being a team player who goes above and beyond. You should be comfortable managing a busy workload and confident in delegating tasks to juniors and supporting teams, ensuring you are working as effectively as possible for the stakeholders you support.

We are seeking an energetic, proactive, and enthusiastic individual with a high level of technical expertise. You should have strong business English skills and excellent knowledge of Ukrainian. The ability to remain calm under pressure and manage and prioritise competing demands is essential.

We will consider candidates who:

  • Graduated with a Bachelor’s, Specialist, or master’s degree in marketing from a reputable university in Ukraine
  • Have at least 1–2 years of experience in an international company or institution
  • Are fluent in English and Ukrainian

Responsibiities:

  • Campaigns: to lead on the development and execution of marketing campaigns for the local practices and localise globally led initiatives
  • Events: to lead and execute seminars, webinars and client social events
  • Client targeting: to support activities aimed at targeting potential clients and further developing existing clients
  • Communications/PR: to identify opportunities to work with local media, based on global and local hot topics, and work with lawyers to produce press releases, interviews and articles
  • Pitching: to lead on and execute pitches, collaborating with other CMS offices where necessary
  • BD infrastructure: to maintain the BD infrastructure, including a complete set of standard pitch content, clearly defined client mailing lists, and lists of target clients
  • Business planning & budgeting: to contribute to the annual business planning and budgeting process
  • Directory and award submissions: to ensure that directory and awards submissions are prioritised, completed and reflect consistent messaging about CMS and our strategy
  • To develop and maintain effective working relationships with key individuals across the firm, particularly the fee earners and business services team

Description: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development and Marketing Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis to cover a maternity leave position in the Ukrainian office. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to contribute to our business development and marketing initiatives. Previous experience with either a law firm or a consulting firm is an advantage.

About the Role: You will be working with our partners and their teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities for their practice groups. You will provide strategic advice, new ideas to target clients, and promote our brand. You will also provide hands-on support in producing proposals. Together with the business development & marketing assistants based in Ukraine, you will produce marketing materials and work with media and partner organisations, write directory submissions, organise seminars and social events, write both online and offline content, and do business research.
