  The EBA welcomes the adoption of Government Resolution No.272 dated April 3, 2019 that prolonged the date of entrance into force of the Technical Regulations on appliances burning gaseous fuels until 6 January 2020. In January 2019, the EBA Consumer Electronics Committee brought attention of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine to a number of problematic issues that have to be clarified and solved to ensure successful application by business of the requirements of the Technical Regulations. The abovementioned issues related to labelling peculiarities, conformity assessment procedures, necessity to adopt standards, etc. Among other issues the EBA Consumer Electronics Committee proposed the Ministry to consider the idea of prolongation of the date of entrance into force of the new Technical Regulation. The abovementioned resulted in issuing the official letter by the Ministry that provided detailed clarifications on questions raised by the business community. Moreover, the Ministry elaborated a Resolution on change of the date of entrance into force of the Technical Regulations that was adopted by the Government on 3 April 2019.
