  Following the EBA Retail Committees efforts the draft Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine On the Approval of Criteria for Risk Assessment in the Course of Economic Activity, which Is Subject to State Control on Compliance with Legislation for Consumers Rights Protection (hereinafter – the draft Resolution) was returned to its authors for further improvement. The draft Resolution was published on the web site of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade (hereinafter – the Ministry) on 9 October 2012. On 1 November 2012 the EBA referred to the Ministry and to the State Service for Regulatory Affairs and Entrepreneurship Development with the letter pointing out the necessity to review provisions of the draft Resolution and improve them taking into account retail industrys proposals. On 28 November 2012 during the meeting with the First Deputy Head of the State Service for Regulatory Affairs and Entrepreneurship Development Oleksandr Potimkov and representatives of the Ministry and the State Inspection for Protection of Consumers Rights the question concerning the draft Resolution was raised. The State Service for Regulatory Affairs and Entrepreneurship Development supported the EBAs position and also suggested that authors of the draft Resolution – the Ministry further improved its provisions. As of today the draft Resolution is returned for its further elaboration and will be published repeatedly on the web site of the Ministry. Well track its status and will inform you on the developments with this regard.
