lifecell

Company awards:
Bravery

The Bravery Award honors companies that fearlessly navigate the turbulent waters of wartime in Ukraine. We are proud of your resilience, remarkable adaptability, and commitment to conducting business in Ukraine.

lifecell is a Ukrainian telecommunications operator providing mobile communication and data transfer services based on high-speed Internet. The company offers convenient and beneficial tariffs and services for users of smart devices.

lifecell is owned by Turkcell, Turkey’s largest provider of converged telecommunications and technology services. Turkcell is listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and Borsa Istanbul (BIST).The company was the first among Ukrainian mobile operators to launch EDGE/GPRS, 3G, 4G in Ukraine as well as to conduct 5G public testing in partnership with Ericsson Ukraine. The operator’s digital portfolio includes BiP multifunctional messenger; lifebox secure cloud storage; mobile payment service; TV+, lifecell music ; Kids’ World, Kidster, etc.  lifecell became the first mobile operator to deploy LoRaWAN Internet of Things network in Ukraine and to test NB-IoT technology, to launch VoLTE and VoWiFi.

Since the first day of the full-scale war, lifecell has set a goal to do everything possible to keep people in all regions of Ukraine connected.

lifecell initiated the launch of national roaming in Ukraine, which was started jointly by all operators in March 2022. With the help of national roaming, lifecell serves nearly 300 thousand other operators’ subscribers daily.

Appreciating the contribution of the military, law enforcement, medical, and critical infrastructure workers who work during the war, lifecell provided them with service packages free of charge from the beginning of the full-scale war. Millions of minutes and terabytes of Internet were provided at no additional charge to roamers abroad and for those who survived the occupation in Ukraine.

Since the beginning of the war, the enemy has been destroying the operator’s infrastructure. 90 lifecell repair teams make 2-3 visits all over the country on a daily basis. Often this happens under shelling and at great risk of being hit by missile attacks.

lifecell signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Transformation. Under this Memorandum, lifecell has transferred UAH 40 million for the digital development and restoration of Ukraine’s telecom infrastructure. Also, equipment for approximately UAH 39 million was transferred to the Armed Forces.

lifecell team feels responsible for keeping people connected under all circumstances and continues to make every effort to get closer to the common victory.
