A Public join-stock company “Bel Shostka Ukraine” was created in 1981 and initially consisted of a whole milk department and small cheese producing part. Step by step the plant increased the range of products focusing more on hard cheese production. In 2007 a French Group Bel bought the factory seeing great potential of Ukrainian company and the market growth and also in order to strength the Group position in the Eastern Europe.
Now the Public join-stock company “Bel Shostka Ukraine” is a part of Group Bel and it has a great potential of future development within the company which is a worldwide expert in cheese manufacturing. Quality of products has always been and remains the priority of “Bel Shostka Ukraine”. It means not only well equipped labs, modern equipment, strict control of each of technological stages, but also an investment in the development of its raw materials’ zone. Nowadays Bel Shostka Ukraine is a well-known leader of Ukrainian cheese making industry. The company products were nominated many times as “Best products of the year in Ukraine “, “National rating “Best trade mark of Ukraine”, “Leader of food and processing industry”, “Best enterprise of Ukraine”, “Brand of the year”, “Best producer of the year”, winner of the National product quality competition “100 best goods of Ukraine”. But the most important award for Shostka cheese makers is consumers’ appreciation – not accidentally already for seven consecutive years (2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012) Shostka cheese gets awards in nomination “Cheese of the Year №1” in an International Festival-Competition “Choice of the Year”. In 2008, 2010 and 2011, as another proof of its high quality, Shostka products won one more award and became “Processed Cheese of the Year №1”.
