  Economic scientists formulating the concept of talent management in the XIX century claimed that it would have a positive impact on the development of the company as a whole. Talent Management continues to identify the key features of successful business conduct till nowadays. It is one of the main competitive advantages of the company. On May 24, at the EBA Odesa HR-Committee, the issue of talent management was raised. The speaker was Natalia Yurganova, HR Director of member-company STALKANAT-SILUR and chairman of the Committee. During the meeting, Ms. Natalia talked how to evaluate the staff potential, which criteria should be used. In addition she shared some effective management tools. However, main obstacles to implementing talent management in a comany are the stereotype that there are no irreplaceable staff and the unwillingness to take responsibility for replacing the average employee with a potentially talented person, the inability to see the positive effect of efficient talent management at once. Nevertheless, taking into consideration the great development of competition and the processes of globalization, so in order for Ukrainian enterprises to survive or to acquire new opportunities for development, it is necessary to implement more actively talent management system. This will allow them to react more quickly to changes in the environment and to occupy a leading position in the market.
