Open Lecture: The Process of Decision Taking: the Main Principles of the Behavioral Economics. Date: 15 May2018. Time: 10:00 12:00. Language: Ukrainian. Ticket: free of charge for EBA members. Place: HUB 4.0, Yaroskavskyi Lane, 1/3. What makes you buy that particular watch? A car? Another pair of shoes? Why do you hold that loss-making asset way too long? What makes you work every day? What motivates you to do something you do not particularly like (dieting, jogging, waking up early, cleaning up your papers)? Have you ever made an impulsive decision you later regretted bitterly? How much information do you need to make a decision? What do you do if you do not have this information? How far do you stretch your control over what you do? Does it actually help? What do you do when you do not know what to do? Whom do you trust and does it affect your business? You will get clear answers that would explain our everyday choices. Science is not good yet at explaining our behavior, because we are not rational.  Our clients are not rational. We are bounded in our ability to predict, control, select and absorb new knowledge. We cannot assess odds right. Still, we have to make hundreds of (not so) simple decisions every day.
