Webinar “СВАМ: What Business Needs to Know”. Date: 01 March2024. Time: 11:00 12:30. Language: Ukrainian. Place: ONLINE via Zoom. On October 1, 2023, the European Union launched the training phase of CBAM, a carbon border adjustment mechanism. The experience of preparing the first report for the 4th quarter of 2023 demonstrated a certain lack of readiness of all stakeholders, including the authorized bodies of European countries and the European Commission itself. In this webinar, we will analyze the following issues: What are the priority steps to prepare for full reporting by 2025? Linkage with the greenhouse gas monitoring, reporting, and verification system implemented in Ukraine in 2021 and the CBAM methodology: different systems, or is there a possibility to combine them? What documents should be developed and provided to importers? How to interact with reporting importers? Will the introduction of an emissions trading system in Ukraine help to minimize the financial impact of the CBAM? Please note that prior registration is required, and only registered participants will be notified of any possible changes to the schedule. If your company is not a member of the European Business Association but would like to participate in the meeting, contact [email protected] or complete the registration process. See you soon! The event was organized with the support of the International Renaissance Foundation and the European Union within the framework of the joint initiative European Renaissance of Ukraine.
