Online-course “Diversity and inclusion”. Module 3.. Date: 10 November2021. Time: 15:30 17:30. Language: English (translation will be provided). The topic of the meeting: Family Friendly Workplaces: Inspiration Tips for the Companies. Place: Zoom.us. Webinar Family Friendly Workplaces: Inspiration Tips for the Companies.  Welcome to an inspirational webinar on companies’ support to working parents and caregivers – from why to how! The webinar will focus on what is required to make it happen in practice. We will start with identifying the reasons and benefits to invest time and money to support employees to balance their work with their life and family responsibilities, looking at some of the ROI/Return On Investment areas identified by role model companies who have been doing so. You will also get concrete examples of how companies have supported their employees in practice, from support to employees on parental leave and flexible working arrangements to promoting positive attitudes and behaviors of managers. We will present case examples from both Sweden and Ukraine. We will present the results of the first UNFPA Ukraine Family-Friendly Companys Ranking. It identified leaders of the Ukrainian corporate sector implementing policies on gender equality, work-life balance and zero tolerance to gender-based violence at the workplace. The aim of the ranking is to acknowledge and promote best family friendly practices among other representatives of the corporate sector. The evaluation was based on the following criteria: corporate culture, flexible work schedule, social and material support of employees’ families. Speakers: Tiina Bruno, international expert and thought leader in the area of family friendly policies, and founder of the FamSmart at work/Parentsmart Employers concept, Sweden.  Tiina and her team have been partnering with UNFPA Eastern Europe and Central Asia Regional Office. Tiina is a CEO of FamSmart/Parentsmart employers -   a consultancy firm with over 15 years of experience and expertise in the area of employer support to working parents, with focus on how to involve and engage top level management and connect initiatives to impact for both company visions/goals and the societies where located.
