A great communication strategy, platform or brand can be ruined by the poor writing skills of those people inside the company who are to implement it. But is it even possible to learn to write well if one is not a professional writer? The answer is: good writing is on 85% a skill set that can be developed so yes.  Writing is the most essential tool one may need living in the high-paced world. We use it everywhere: from emails and various messengers to content, pitching slides, and ad copy. Its importance is obvious but often underestimated when it comes to the most-wanted skills. Many think: Only writers have to know how to write compellingly and stylistically clear and for all the other mere mortals this knowledge is beyond imagination.  EBA Management Development Centre together with Julia Kolesnyk invite you to take part in the Online-Training: Writing Well. The Rules of Style.  This 2-day workshop aims to move you out of this blind spot and make you… write. The cohesive, clear and emotional texts for your everyday professional needs—articles, emails, posts, memos and so on. No excuses like My BSc is in STEM so I cant write” or “My literature teacher said 20 years ago I was hopeless”. We will fight through these and alike inner limitations and make you prove to yourself that you can develop decent writing skills.  Trainer: Julia Kolesnyk, an independent brand strategist with a 13-year background in advertising copywriting and creative strategy; holds MA with Distinction in Creative, Digital & Professional Writing from London Metropolitan University; curator of the “Storytelling in Marketing and Advertising” course at Projector.School and guest lecturer at LitOsvita and Svobodnaya; her projects collected more than 40 national and international advertising awards; since 2018 works independently for clients from Ukraine, the US, UK, France and others. Believes that words is the most powerful tool of the informational economy and everyone has to know how to use them.  Target audience:  Those who work with brand communications, both internal and external  PR managers from commercial and not-for-profit organizations  Startups and entrepreneurs who want to market their product/service more effectively  Professionals who outsource their copywriting or content writing and who want to make their cooperation with these contractors more effective and productive  All those who over and over face a need to improve their writing skills During the practical parts of the training, the attendees will work independently polishing their writing skills under the supervision and guidance of the trainer. The attendees also will have to provide their peers with valuable feedback. There will be one assignment to work on at home and around 6 hours of lecturing material. At the workshop we will answer the following questions:  What is considered a good style What major skill do you need to write better How to overcome the “fear of an empty canvas” What are the main structures and approaches in working with text Coherence & Cohesion: How to write clear and logical   How to use the knowledge about TA to write effective copy  How to use storytelling tools in your daily writing.
