Dear Colleagues, Within the activities of the EBA Lviv Legal Committee, we are launching a new project “EVA. Transparent dialogue . Due to a transparent dialogue, we aim to improve the interaction between public authorities and self-governing institutions that directly and indirectly affect the business environment. The first event in the series of meetings will be a dialogue with representatives of the Council of Judges of Ukraine, in particular with Oleksandr Sasevych, Chairman of the Committee on Cooperation with Mass Media, State and Non-Governmental Bodies and Organizations, Natalia Moroz, member of the Committee on Organizational judicial self-government, material and financial support of courts and judges, observance of the rights of judges and employees and Volodymyr Kravchuk, member of the committee on cooperation with the media, state and non-governmental bodies and organizations. At the meeting we will talk about: - powers of the Council of Judges, the mission of the body and the main activities; - the place of business in building the justice system and ensuring the independence of the judiciary; - conflict of interest, principles of anti-corruption compliance and criteria for determining the validity of grounds for dismissal of judges; - business warnings on the operation of the justice system.
