19/05 09:00 EBA Agrochemical Committee

On 19.05.2008 the EBA Agrochemical Committee meeting was held at the EBA office. At the first part of the meeting a brief report of the Round Table was presented to the Committee members. The participants discussed the next possible stage of the project. There were determined three dimensions of the further project implementation. Also present members discussed such points as cooperation with the governmental bodies and involvement the related business into the project. It was also proposed to have the EBA EuroDebates on anti-counterfeit issue as one of the tools for strengthening project. Within this issue the attention was drawn to the next issue of journal “Record Harvest”. Draft context of the next Record Harvest and requested missing information were presented.

Second part of the meeting was dedicated to the ECPA CEEREG visit results. The main issue discussed was amendments to the Procedure of the State Registration in Ukraine (approved by Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No 295 dated 04.03.96). Special attention was paid to the intellectual rights protection.

Within the following point of agenda present members were informed that the EBA start working under the EBA position paper on Free Trade Agreement between Ukraine and EU. Then the present members of the meeting paid attention to an issue as EBA Business mission to Brussels, during which it was proposed to arrange a meeting with ECPA. The last point of the agenda was dedicated to the announcement that the Agrochemicals Committee meeting will be held on June 17, 2008.
