11/02 16:00 HR Committee Meeting - EBA Zhytomyr Branch

was held at the conference room of Sberbank of Russia. Mariya Kyrychenko, the EBA Zhytomyr Branch Regional Coordinator, welcomed everyone at the first HR Committee Meeting. To begin with she told about organized events and success that the Branch reached. Also the Regional Coordinator informed about planned activities and some events which will be held at the nearest future.

As it was the first HR Committee Meeting the participants discussed the following questions:

- registration of the HR Committee members
- election of the Chairman of the Committee
- prospects of further Committee work
- topics for Committee Meetings in 2010

The Deputy Head of the Management Board of Weidmann Malyn Paper Mill, Jsc, Andriy Kostyuchenko told about perfect organized system of personnel evaluation at their factory. He underlined that such system helps to motivate employees, define the correspondence of the person to the position he takes. It also determines the potential of the employees and results which they achieved. 

During the discussion the participants agreed that HR Committee Meetings are the great opportunity to discuss issues concerning recruiting, human recourse assessment and development, succession planning and so on. It is necessary to mention that the Committee also invites guest speakers who update the members on new services and products in the human resource field.

Another important activity of the HR Committee is meetings with the State officials. This activity allows making input from business representatives to labor related legislative acts (e.g. draft Labor Code of Ukraine).
The HR Committee members can also exchange information within the CV database and vacancies in the EBA member-companies.

So, at the end of the meeting the participants decided to conduct next HR Committee Meeting in March. It was suggested the following topic: Training of the employees at the production.
