26/02 17:00 EBA PR Committee On THURSDAY, 26 February 2009, 17:00-18:30 the EBA Kyiv-based office hosted the EBA PR Committee meeting discussing the topic “Ukrainian PR industry: what are the common interests of market players, why and how to lobby them?”
The Committee’s members met to focus on lobbying issues and general interests of the Ukrainian PR industry.
Therefore, the EBA invited Denys Bohush of the Ukrainian PR-League and Ludmyla Krechmer of UAPR as representatives of two leading professional Ukrainian PR associations. They were the keynote speakers who presented their organisations’ views on the idea of common interests for the Ukrainian PR industry and tools to lobby for these interests.
The EBA also invited several representatives of foreign agencies to share examples of how PR industries are organised in their countries and how the PR community interests are promoted there. Thus, Martin Nunn of Whites International, Volodymyr Dehtyarov of Nords PR Ukraine and also, the Committee’s Vice-Chair Scott Lewis of Willard Group introduced the audience to cases and examples of developing PR industry in their countries.
Certainly, the topic generated a lively professional discussion among the guest speakers, attendees and other Committee’s members. |
