was opened at the business-breakfast of directors of the EBA members companies with representatives of the Swiss business circles, mainly from machine building, material recycling, IT and development sectors. The Swiss delegation was chaired by  Monica Riul Burtsi, Deputy State Secretary on Economic Issues, and Georg Zubler, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Switzerland to Ukraine. They expressed their interest in establishing and maintaining long-term cooperation between both countries.  

During the visit a round table with local authorities took place. Mr Dobkin, Mayor of Kharkiv, presented economic, investment and scientific potential of the city of Kharkiv. 

Mr Kovalenko, Head of the Department of International Relations and Eurointegration of Kharkiv OSA, updated the attendees on aspects of economic cooperation between Switzerland and the Kharkiv oblast. He stressed that as of 1 July 2008 the volumes of Swiss investment to the Kharkiv region amounted to USD 24.2 million, volumes of export to Switzerland totalled USD 68.6 thousand whereas volumes of import from Switzerland equalled USD 8.6 million.
