15/10 18:00 Joint meeting of the EBA Marketing and PR Committees took place at the EBA office and gathered more than 30 PR and Marketing experts to discuss current issues of political marketing.
EBA Marketing Committee Chair Maryna Rymarenko started the session and emphasised that these meetings, apart from being just informative, provide the EBA marketing community with relevant business contacts and networking opportunities.
After a short greeting Ms Rymarenko introduced guest-speaker Denis Bohush, President at Bohush Communication, Vice-President of Ukrainian PR League, Council Member of IPRA, to the Committee participants. Mr Bohush had an opportunity to earn political marketing experience during the election campaigns of 1999, 2002 and 2004. His presentation, entitled “Political Marketing: Comparison of Ukrainian and Foreign Practices”, was chiefly based on the 'Orange Revolution' practice. Taking the floor the speaker focused on interrelation and correlation between politics and marketing and outlined methods of designing and developing “political product”.
Also the meeting featured experts, Marcin Swiecicki, Director at UNDP BRAAC, and Oleksandr Yarema, Executive Director of Ukrainian Supporting Reform Fund, Board Member of Political Party “Reforms and Order”. Providing comments on the presentation, they involved the meeting participants in the open and frank discussion of political marketing issues. Mr Swiecicki shared his experience of what it felt like being among authorities (he was the member of T. Mazovetsky’s government in 1989 and occupied the position of Warsaw Mayor 1994-1999). The attendees demonstrated keen enthusiasm and deep interest in talking over the agenda topics. |
