was organised at the EBA Kyiv-based office. Nearly 20 people attended this Committee meeting to discuss court practices applied in the intellectual property sphere. The meeting featured court experts who were invited as key guest speakers to specify peculiarities of court expertise and also outline purpose, terms and charge for providing expertise. The guest speakers stressed the significance of securing the proper wording for issues to be considered by a court expert, otherwise, they say, it will produce grossly biased conclusions.
In addition, the Committee participants analysed reasons for prescribing additional or repeated court expertise, determined a scope of professional competence and studied arguments for experts’ conclusions.
EBA HR Committee
at the EBA office in Kyiv, 1-st floor, 1A Andriyivsky Uzviz. The meeting was devoted to summarising results of the EBA HR Committee activity in 2008. During this meeting the participants discussed the Committee priorities and action plan for 2009.
