09/10 15:00 General Membership Meeting with Mr Dergunov, the First Deputy Head of Donetsk OSA - EBA Donetsk Branch
took place in Donetsk State Administration. Mr Dergunov answered questions about preparation and holding the EURO-2012. He mentioned that “Donbass Arena” stadium with surrounding territories, hotels and a take off runway are now main sites, which need attention. However, reconstruction of these objects is financed by the state, local budgets and investments. 833 mln UAH was allocated in the state budget and 28 mln UAH in the local budget for the runway. Moreover, 300 mln UAH was allocated to improve medical care and to reconstruct Donetsk medical establishments during the first half of 2008 and more investments are expected. Reconstruction of most highways is going on and will be finalized on time. Still the most urgent issues are construction of hotels, airport complex and lack of costs for reconstruction of roads. To solve the problems the city organized contest of the best investment project. Results of this contest will be presented at the International Investment Summit on 29-31 October, 2008. This contest will promote participation of small and medium businesses in preparation to EURO-2012. 272 projects and more than 200 investors registered to participate in the Forum. Mr Dergunov encouraged submission of new investment projects.
EBA HR Committee
at the EBA office in Kyiv, 1-st floor, 1A Andriyivsky Uzviz. The meeting was devoted to summarising results of the EBA HR Committee activity in 2008. During this meeting the participants discussed the Committee priorities and action plan for 2009.
