07/10 18:30 General Membership Meeting with the Deputy Head of Kharkiv OSA - EBA Kharkiv Branch
Mr Sergiy Storozhenko, Deputy Head of Kharkiv OSA, the First Vice-President of Ukrainian Football Federation, briefed participants on the course of preparation for the final tournament of Euro 2012 in Kharkiv oblast. Mr Storozhenko spoke of some problems, which Kharkiv oblast faced, namely: the lack of hotels (shortage of 1,800 rooms for VIPs), parking places, cafes, etc. He stressed: “UAH 14.7 mln was allocated in the state budget for preparation for the Euro 2012 in Kharkiv oblast. The sum is insufficient, so we need business to participate and to invest money in reconstruction of the stadium, airport, hotels, etc. Kharkiv Oblast State Administration guarantees security for investors”. The concept of private-public partnership was presented by DCH group. Two main components of the successful partnership were outlined: necessity to boost the country’s image, on the one hand, and economic benefits – on the other. Then the attendees were updated on renovation of the Kharkiv stadium and the airport. The meeting was held with support of Pirana Company.
EBA HR Committee
at the EBA office in Kyiv, 1-st floor, 1A Andriyivsky Uzviz. The meeting was devoted to summarising results of the EBA HR Committee activity in 2008. During this meeting the participants discussed the Committee priorities and action plan for 2009.
