31/01 08:30 EBA Business Morning with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Mr Volodymyr Ogryzko The EBA Business Morning with Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Volodymyr Ohryzko was held on 31 January 2008. The meeting was dedicated to Ukraine’s prospects of membership of European and international organizations.
The aim of the meeting was to assist the continuation of dialogue between business and the authorities by turning their overall attention to Ukraine’s prospects of membership of European and international organizations.
Participants raised the following issues:

Ukraine’s prospects of becoming a member of the World Trade Organization;

Forecasts on the development of the Ukrainian economy once a free trade agreement between Ukraine and the European Union has come into effect;
-
Problem issues regarding the visa regime for both Ukrainians and foreigners;
-
Priorities in the work of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry in 2008.
The official stance of the authorities as regards the issues raised was voiced by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Volodymr Ohryzko.
Approximately 100 members of the European Business Association were present at this high-level meeting.
The European Business Association expects that the general information meeting gave an opportunity for business and the authorities to exchange useful first hand information regarding urgent problems and, in unison, to find certain ways of solving them.
