01/11 09:00 Second annual conference “Investment Opportunities in Healthcare Sector in Ukraine” On 1 November, 2007, (Thursday) the Second Annual Conference to discuss investment opportunities in Ukrainian health care sector was opened. Initiators and organisers of the conference were Health Care Committee of the European Business Association and Pharmaceutical Marketing Group “Business-Credit LC”.
The sectors of Ukrainian economy related to healthcare, such as production of pharmaceuticals and medical items, distribution and provision of medical services, have been remained in the shade of other large sectors for a long time. At this point of time the overall healthcare system and the related industries are at the threshold of structural readjustment. Private investments are to play an important role in this process of structural changes. At the same time, these changes unfold interesting opportunities for investors.
Organisers of this conference believe that the conference became a unique meeting place for investors, companies interested in investments, and professionals of consulting, as well as investment businesses.
At the conference were discussed: • Production of pharmaceuticals and medical items; • Pharmaceutical distribution and drugstore retailing; • Industry of Clinical Researches and Development of Medical Technologies; • Private medical services and laboratory diagnostics.
