Munich, 13 November 2008 - At its partner meeting, the international law firm BEITEN BURKHARDT elected 9 new Equity Partners as well as 16 Salary Partners effective 1 January 2009. Due to this election, around half of all national and international BEITEN BURKHARDT offices will have new Equity Partners. "We are pleased both for the newly elected partners and for our law firm in general, which is further strengthened by this new election from a national and international perspective", says Frank Obermann, Managing Partner of the firm.
Four of the new Equity Partners alone are allocated to the foreign offices in Kyiv, Moscow and St. Petersburg. With Svetlana Herbel (Moscow) and Natalia Wilke (St. Petersburg), two Russian nationals were elected Equity Partners. The other Equity Partners are allocated to the offices in Berlin, Frankfurt and Munich. "This is the logical consequence of our international strategy", says Obermann. "We are acting with international Equity Partners and at the same time we promote personal responsibility and entrepreneurship on the spot. Thus we are ideally positioned in a diversified and broad way during such difficult economic times. The election of the new Equity Partners also affects numerous legal areas, in particular labour law, real estate law, IP/IT/media and litigation.
"We have a positive outlook towards the future, in particular against the background of the qualitative and entrepreneurial reinforcement of the newly elected partners", sums up Obermann. The following lawyers were elected Equity Partners:
