On 16 October, 2008 the ACCA Ukraine members and affiliates attended the CPD (Continuing Professional Development) Event on the topic “Quality Control System in Auditing Services”. The event was held in the conference-hall of Gintama Hotel, Tryohsvyatitelska str., 9, Kyiv, Ukraine.

The key speaker of the event was Mr Vitaliy Kazakov, ACCA member, Managing Partner of Grant Thornton Ukraine. He introduced the up-to-date topic of quality control system in auditing services. According to Mr Kazakov the basic elements of the quality control system were as follows: leadership responsibility, ethical requirements, client acceptance and continuance, human resources, engagement performance, and monitoring.

About 20 ACCA members and graduates from the leading Ukrainian companies used this opportunity to obtain a qualified response to their questions.
