A 2-hour Mediation Awareness Seminar will be conducted at the Kyiv-Mohyla Business-School premises at 6.30 p.m. on October 27, 2008. Lead speakers to the event are the representatives of the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR), UK, an independent non-profit organisation, whose mission is to reduce the cost of conflict for businesses, public and legal sector, and create a world of choice and capability in conflict prevention and resolution.

The purpose of the seminar is to introduce representatives of businesses to mediation as an effective dispute resolution method. By the end of this seminar the participants will be able to identify key benefits of the process, distinguish the framework and phases of mediation, identify key skills to effective mediation practice, and know how to introduce a mediation culture. Practical application of mediation will be demonstrated on a role-play.
