24 September, 2008. SAYENKO KHARENKO supported the Third International Festival “Virtuosos of the Planet” held from September 24 - 26 in the National Philharmonic of Ukraine. Eight top-prize winners of international music competitions from Venezuela, Russia, Ukraine, France, Czech Republic and Japan accompanied by the country’s best orchestras amazingly performed the most sophisticated pieces of classical music.

The Ukrainian audience was privileged to hear music by Ludwig Van Beethoven, Paul Hindemith, Edward Elgar, Albert Zahel, Francis Poulene, Dmitry Shostakovich and Anri Tomasi (the pieces of this composer have never before been played in Ukraine).
