September 01, Kiev - Mmd Corporate, Public Affairs & Public Relations Consultants announces the appointment of Marcus Stober as its new Country Manager in Ukraine. Marcus Stober - a Swedish national - will lead Mmd’s continued expansion into the Ukrainian market where it has serviced clients since 2002. His objectives will include further development of Mmd’s consultancy business in the country with focus on public affairs, public relations and investor relations.

Before joining Mmd Marcus was the CEO in a sales and logistics company in the publishing sector in Sweden. Prior to this he ran the Brussels public affairs practice of Chelgate Limited a British consultancy and has also worked as a director of policy for the Brussels based think-tank - the European Enterprise Institute.

Vladimir Melnikov, the previous country manager for Mmd Ukraine, will now be Moscow-based in the position of the new Vice President, Strategic Consulting, where his role would be particularly focused on investor relations, including our Ukraine IR clients looking to develop their investor relations.

In his past professional roles Marcus has advised international clients on a wide range of topics with potential impact on business: intellectual property rights, energy, transport and competition policy. He has also been involved in the EU policy making and lobbying through his work with a number of NGO’s and think-tanks.

Marcus is a graduate of the College of Europe. Besides his native Swedish he speaks English, French, Spanish and is currently learning Russian. He starts as the Country Manger in Mmd Ukraine office in September and will be permanently based in Kiev.
