July 2008. In what is their second major Kyiv investment deal of the year so far, DTZ has exclusively acted on behalf of a Dutch developer, Gooioord B.V., in the sale of its Kyiv office portfolio to a private investor for an undisclosed sum.
The transaction included the sale of around 14,000 sq m of office buildings at 11 Mykhaylivska Street, 48b and 52 Bohdana Khmelnytskoho Street, 4 Leontovycha Street, and 29, 31, 34/33 and 36 Ivana Franko Street along with office suites at 25, 38 and 40 Ivana Franko Street.
The portfolio accommodates a number of major international and diplomatic missions including KPMG, Europolis, Nokia, Kraft Foods, KLM/Air France, and the embassies of Sweden and Belgium.
The deal follows DTZs successful representation of Meyer Bergman in its acquisition of the Aladdin Retail Centre in spring this year.
Nick Cotton, managing director of DTZ in Ukraine, comments: “This is the second investment transaction closed in 2008 where DTZ has been exclusively retained. DTZ has worked with Gooioord throughout the site assembly, refurbishment and reconstruction of buildings during the 1990s and has undertaken the exclusive agency and management of the portfolio up to investment exit."
