3 July 2008. UIA carried 760 000 passengers in the first 6 months of 2008. This was 25% more than in the same period of the previous year. In June 2008 Ukraine International Airlines operated more than 1600 scheduled flights, carried nearly 155 000 passengers and more than 400 tonnes of cargo. The passenger load factor in June was 71%, on average; up from 64.0 % in June 2007. Continued strong growth is forecasted for the second half of the year.
