Olexander Martinenko receives top honours at Ukrainian awards ceremonyOlexander Martinenko, Senior Partner in the Kyiv office of CMS Cameron McKenna LLP was recognized by the leading Ukrainian legal newspaper, Yuridicheskaya Practika ("Legal Practice"), as the Competition Lawyer of the Year and also received the Editor’s Award for Outstanding Achievements at the 2008 Legal Awards ceremony held on Friday, May 30, at the Hyatt in Kyiv. This year, Olexander Martinenko was also recognised as Band 1 lawyer in Corporate/Commercial by Chambers Europe 2008, also as a leading specialist in Corporate and M&A by PLC Which Lawyer? as well as recommended in Competition/Antitrust and Dispute Resolution by the same directory. Olexander has been working in the Kyiv office since it opened, heading up the Commercial team. He joined from the Kyiv office of Baker & McKenzie. For the past 20 years, he has been advising multi-national and local companies, institutions and organizations on their business activities in Ukraine. Focusing on corporate and competition law, with a particular emphasis on anti-counterfeiting and unfair competition; corporate restructuring, as well as mergers and acquisitions and telecommunications.
