May 2008. We are happy to announce that The Lawyer, the UK’s leading legal publication, has recognised Salans’ international standing once again and shortlisted it for its International Law Firm of the Year award, to be announced on 24th June, 2008 in London.

Competition for Salans this year for the award comes from Bird & Bird, Gide Loyrette Nouel, Mayer Brown, Uria Menendez and White & Case.  Only one of these firms is represented in Ukraine.  It is important to note that Salans is the only firm from last year’s nominees to be shortlisted once again which a considerable achievement.

Salans’ nomination centred on the major achievements of 2007 - unprecedented cross-border collaboration with 84% of top 250 client revenue generated from work spread across more than one office, the firms’ 37% growth in revenue, opening in Madrid and Barcelona, doubling in size in Istanbul, adding new real estate teams in Moscow and Paris, an association agreement in Katowice, as well as the firms’ work on the pioneering Western High-Speed Diameter Tollway in St Petersburg - in the context of the firms’ 30-year anniversary this year, connecting the heritage of the firm with modern approach today and most importantly, with the future of the firm.
