10th of April 2008. ALD Automotive, leader on car leasing market together with Charity Fund “Ukraine! I’m for you!” (charity organization supporting hospitals, nurseries and boarding schools and dealing with ecological issues) initiated social campaign “ Plant A Tree” in frames of “ Green KYIV “ project. The campaign aims not only to raise awareness of the impact vehicle CO2 emissions have on our environment,  but to do something positive about it by planting trees.

To ALD Automotive clients will be provided the option to pay an additional “Plant a Tree”  fee for every vehicle you order through ALD and would like to “offset”. The monthly cost would be based upon the vehicle’s CO2 offset costs based on the volume of engine and would start from UAH 10 per month. The campaign starts on the 1st of April 2008 for the ALD Automotive clients.

ALD Automotive  has already introduced measures to manage emissions from our own vehicle fleet and is offsetting the remainder by supporting the new trees planting  with the Charity Fund for all business mileage undertaken. Thus, on the 12th of April 2008 planting trees action will take place in Kyiv on 2/1 Majakovskogo street.

“Plant a Tree” can be a deep impact campaign with lasting benefits for the environment and all concerned. It provides a clear and simple mechanism that can help quantify contributions and present these tangibly.
