"AeroSvit" started ticketing for flights Kyiv - Almaty, date of flight commencement is April, 26th

“AeroSvit” obtained permission for regular flights from Kazakhstan aviation authorities and started selling tickets for Kyiv-Almaty-Kyiv.

“AeroSvit” will begin operating flights to Republic of Kazakhstan on April, 26th this year gradually increasing their number. During the first month there will be one flight, from May, 28th – two and from June, 16th– three flights per week respectively.

At the base “AeroSvit” airport in Kyiv new Almaty direction will be connected with all route network of the Airline within Ukraine, including the largest regional administrative centers of the country – Dnepropetrivsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lugansk, Lviv, Odessa, Simferopol, Uzhgorod, Kharkiv and Chernivtsi.

Passengers from Almaty will have an opportunity to get to Warsaw, Prague, Budapest and other cities in Eastern, Central and Southern Europe and also destinations of AeroSvit in the North America using transfer flights of the Airline through Kyiv.
Boeing 737 will be operated on route Kyiv-Almaty-Kyiv.


Background information

"AeroSvit – Ukrainian Airlines" operates the largest route network, the most powerful fleet in Ukraine and the most modern aviation IT-technologies in the country.

Currently “AeroSvit” serves over 60 international destinations, including 6 transcontinental – to New-York, Beijing, Shanghai, Deli and Bangkok, also carrying passengers to 11 largest cities in Ukraine.

The Airline operates 17 airplanes produced by Boe³ng and plans to renew and increase its fleet by 2,5 times within 6 years. In July 2007 “AeroSvit” company signed the first contract from a range of ones on delivery of New Generation (NG) aircraft. According to the contract Airline is to purchase 14  Boe³ng 737-800 NG from the manufacturer.

“AeroSvit” was established in 1994 as closed joint stock company. Currently 62% of its shares are held by Ukrainian owners, including, State Property Fund of Ukraine - 22,4%, companies “GenAviaInvest” - around 25%, “Ukrinfoconsult” - 9,8% and “Bureau” - 4,8%. Share of Netherland’s company Gilward Investments B. V. is around 38%.
