At the Round table of the EBA Logistics Committee, the management of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Seaports Authority presented the strategic plan of the Administration for 2017.
In particular, the Authority plans to change the management system that will improve management efficiency and speed of decision-making, enhance the ability to attract new resources. The Acting CEO of the SE “USPA” Raivis Veckagans introduced a new team and a plan of priority actions for the current year. The main tasks of the SE “USPA” are as follows: the modernization and development of infrastructure, attracting of investments, improving of sectoral legislation, equal business conditions in ports.
Nadiya Kaznacheyeva, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, said that the reform of water transport – is an important component of infrastructure strategy of the Ministry. Therefore, the Ministry is planning to attract investments and improve the efficiency of the Authority. In addition, the Ministry and the Authority have identical points of view on the development and business.
In the near future the SE “USPA” will make an audit according to international financial standards. This year the Administration is planning to update the strategy of the development of seaports of Ukraine till 2038 to develop the Methodology for setting port authority tariffs together with Ukrainian and international experts.
