Customs

24/ 05/ 2017
On May 18, 2017, the Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade considered a report issued by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine on the review of special sanctions onporcelain kitchenware and flatwareimports into Ukraine. The report found thatUkrainian producers significantly boosted sales of goods on the domestic market and reached profitabilityduring the sanctions period (2014-2016). In this regard, the Commission considers the extension of the special sanctions on import of porcelain wares (UKT ZED code 6911 10 00 00) to be inappropriate. The European Business Association actively supported the adoption of this important decision, as it will diversify the domestic porcelain market and encourage competition. We thank the Commission and the Ministry for their clear and fair position.
