The EBA Logistics Committee is happy to share the news on the planned change to the Methodology of port charges in Ukraine. Together with the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine we have managed to start making changes to the concept of port fees calculation, namely: - The calculations for cabotage transportation charges will be separated from international - The investing coefficient for the development of infrastructure at the seaports will be limited. Approval of this Methodology is the first step to the port sector reform. At present, port charges at Ukrainian ports are too high and uncompetitive in comparison to other ports of Azov-Black Sea basin. The work continues. The EBA Logistics Committee and the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine will further work on the Draft Order approving the Methodology of port charges.
