Leadership Development Programme

PARTICIPATION FEE: 3900 UAH FOR EBA MEMBERS
EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION: 3500 UAH TILL September 5 FOR EBA MEMBERS

about the programme

What does it take to be a successful leader? Are leaders born or can you develop leadership? Do leaders have to be strong and heroic or do different situations call for different type of behavior and personality? How effective is the leadership function and leadership development in your organization? What skills do you have and what skills do you need to acquire to become a better leader yourself?

These and other questions are addressed by the Leadership Development Program, founded in 2012.

During the modules you will have the opportunity to explore the leadership phenomenon and improve the competencies necessary for effective leadership in modern organizations. Each module will include practical exercises, discussions and assignments to connect material studied to real life practice of participants.

Having successfully finished the programme, the participants will receive certificates of completion.

  • Learn about leadership traits, behaviours and skills related to effective leadership in organizations and apply this knowledge to your current work context
  • Reflect upon your own experience of leading self, leading others and being led
  • Create action plans to develop yourself as a leader and contribute to the development of leadership in your organization

target audience

  • Middle & senior managers of the companies
  • Specialists, who wish to develop their leadership skills

Format:

  • 8 study sessions x 3 hrs plus 1 bonus closing session x 2 hrs
  • Each session includes structured material, homework review, individual and group exercises (case studies, small group or individual practical tasks to apply learned material to participants’ realities)

Requirements for completion:

  • Attendance and participation in minimum of 6 out 8 study sessions
  • Home tasks completion (reported in the beginning of each class)
  • Multiple-choice test (based on slides, home assignments and class discussions) – minimum 50%
  • Individual presentation (oral, 3-5 minutes) delivered in the end of the course

  • Leading one-on-one: the purpose and the means
  • Key motivation principles
  • Building a system of individual work
  • Problem-solving and one-on-one meetings as a developmental tool

MODULE 4. TEAM LEADERSHIP: UNDERSTANDING AND LEADING TEAMS - October 24

  • Team dynamics and factors effecting team performance
  • Leader’s role in the team work
  • Typical team challenges and ways to handle them
  • Empowering teams and individuals

MODULE 5. ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP: POWER AND POLITICS. INFLUENCE SKILLS - October 31

MODULE 7. EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE. LEADERSHIP AND EMOTIONS - nOVEMBER 07

  • What is EQ and why it is important for leadership and team work
  • Understanding EQ competencies: self-awareness, self-motivation, self-regulation, social awareness (empathy) and relation management
  • Practicing self-awareness and self-regulation

MODULE 8. REVIEW. PARTICIPANTS’ PRESENTATIONS. - November 28

  • Individual presentations & test

  • Sources of feedback for leader
  • Planning for further development

MODULE 9. MEET THE LEADERS - DECEMBER 05
