The EBA has recently initiated a new entertaining project entitled “EBA Cooking Contest”. The discovery and further development of different colleagues` skills is the main goal of this fun and exciting EBA event.
The very first food art battle took place on 3 October 2009. We are sure that the amusing and successful character of the event can become a reason for further EBA Cooking Contest organising. Based on the tournament principle, this EBA project is a wonderful opportunity to exercise one’s food-making abilities.

Due to the contest requirements, the dishes, prepared by contest participants, have to not only taste great, but be also well-decorated. Such contest conditions are determined by creative demand of the art of cuisine. So not only the practical cooking skills, but also the imaginative movements are welcomed.
Competing teams are proposed the identical compositions of food ingredients and dish recipes. Despite the similar basis, the results differ. If in composition matters contest participants have to stick to the rules, in design questions team members can totally rely on their imagination.
Each participant of the contest is supported by fans` encouragements and cheer up wishes. The pleasant and relaxing character of restaurant music softens the atmosphere of the battle, reminding that the idea of the event is to have fun, learn something new and relax.
LATEST EVENT REPORT
These weekends, 22 December 2009, the second EBA Cooking contest was held jointly with newly opened restaurant-topaz “Idalgo”.
Participants of the contest: Xeratech Ukraine, GEFCO Ukraine, Woerwag Pharma GmbH & Co. KG, Slavutich, Carlsberg Group, POS Media Ukraine, Schneider Electric, Johnson & Johnson Ukraine, Legal Alliance.
The contest started with a brief characteristics and demonstration of the dish after that each team was provided by all necessary ingredients and relishes. The main task for teams was to demonstrate as much as possible creativity and fantasy in cooking. In the New Year’s cooking contest the teams cooked a traditional Spanish New Year’s dish – topazes. Team spirit and desire for victory inspired all teams for diverse improvisation. Nevertheless, the team of Xeratech Ukraine became the winner for its creativeness and original design.

The team-winner was awarded by certificates and glintvein for each team member. At the end of the event teams had a time for tasting the dish prepared by them and degusting of Spanish champagne.
